Is in charge of:

    → ensuring technological watch in the field of agri-food technologies;

    → monitoring, collecting and participating in calls for national and international research projects;

    → studying and assessing applications for approval and/or marketing authorization for processed and unprocessed food products or supplements;

    → developing a multilayer geographical information system of the network of agri-food industries in Algeria;

    → working for the constitution and implementation of a database of knowledge and skills in the field of agri-food technologies;

    → ensuring the management, maintenance and updating of the computer system, networks and databases;

    → using all computer resources adapted to the quality assurance and traceability of laboratory data;

    → developing the continuous improvement of the “quality assurance” system and establishing a training plan for the staff in charge.

It is organized into three (3) services:

• the service for technology watch and research project;
• the service for the management and maintenance of networks and digital documentation;
• the service for quality assurance, standards and certification.
